Mental health counselling support. Access your five sessions per semester for counselling support or receive referral information and/or support for more ongoing or in-depth counselling

If you need accommodations and supports, we are here to help. Services and accommodations will vary depending on the needs of each student, but can include: note-taking, tutoring services, the provision of texts and readings in digital format (for persons experiencing print disabilities), accommodations for writing exams, assistance with applications for the Canada Student Grant for Equipment and Services for Students with Disabilities, and learning disability pre-screening interviews.


Academic Advising

During an individual academic advising appointment, the advisor may review and discuss the following:

-The student’s academic program, courses completed and remaining requirements
-Program selection (BFA, BDes, BA) and majors and minor
-Course selections, prerequisites and (if relevant) grades required
-Graduation requirements

Lorelei Dietz (she/her) is a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) within the Office of Opportunity and Belonging. She strives to provide a safe, creative, and affirming space for individuals navigating mental health, personal, or school-related challenges. With a background in the Creative Arts Therapies, she brings personal and professional experience from the performing arts and mental health fields which are integrated in her work as a counsellor. As a queer-identifying therapist, Lorelei is especially passionate about supporting and empowering folks and allies of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Lorelei works from a trauma-informed and intersectional lens, understanding the many factors that can influence our experiences. She holds herself accountable to participate in ongoing anti-oppressive learning and reflection.
